Kala's at 100 points!!

Well its been such a long haul but Kala is finally at the magic number of 100 explorer points

She is all a twitter about the breeding that I have planned for her, but the seedling will be simply beautiful.

Trading Pollinator for Fertilizers

I now have two pollinators (!) so I can begin my dream of creating a beautiful carousel Nymphush! I'm so excited. So the plan is to trade my pillinator for a bunch of fertilizers. The type doesn't matter, I figure I can eventually trade them again to get the right kinds, but I need about 14. I know that's alot, but I really hope I can work something out. I also might be willing to forfit some fertilizers for rare ingerdiants, since I have collected quite a few items on my jungle trips, and could make some of my own.

How active are you with adoptables?

I've just been wondering, as it appears a few of you on here don't frequent PI anymore, if you're on any other sites/forums?

Personally PI is feeling a bit huge and unfriendly, but it's still a great place for selling art, and there are some good people, which is why I stay.

But I've joined smaller communities like Secundi, Garden Terrace (great for pixel critters!) and the Samanayrs forum is nice too ^^;
I like these the best, it feels more 'homey' and the adoptables feel more appreciated, I always liken them to country villages as opposed to PI being a big city xD;
Don't mind my ramblings it's three in the morning ;A;

Also, if you'd like I have a small uniquely drawn deer-like adoptable starting out that you're welcome to have a peek at.
Events are run on a few sites, but the forum itself is small and quiet.

Hey all! What's new with you? What have you been up to since I was last here (I can't even really remember when I last stopped by...)?

Things here have been crazy the last few months. I finished my Master's degree - defended in June and graduated in August. I got a real job in June - education programmer at the National Civil Rights Museum (I had been working there as an intern for 2 years), then my husband was offered a job (sometime in July I think...) in South Dakota. I decided to move up north with him.

August was crazy. We moved out the first week, while being very busy finishing up paper work things for graduation and making sure that I left no loose strings at the civil rights museum. We drove our stuff to South Dakota, left it all in boxes in the living room and then drove to Minnesota because the owner of the house we rented was still doing some work on the house. We stayed with our parents for a few days then flew to Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands for a family trip with my mother in law.

We were in the Galapagos for about a week + travel days. We lived on a boat and I came home appreciating that my bed doesn't move at night. We saw tons of amazing animals & beautiful vistas. Here I am with a giant tortoise:

After the Galapagos we worked on settling in to our new home in South Dakota. I don't have a job here right now but I have been busy with selling vintage toys on Etsy (I started doing this in March because I was worried my husband and I wouldn't survive on the little money I was making at the museum as an intern since I wouldn't have my graduate teaching assistantship anymore).

So yeah. My life has been a bit of a whirlwind - though a good whirlwind.
Let me know how things have been with all of you! I'm still crazy surprised to see that people still pop in here.

And yes, I am still interested in doing Seed Ponies, but it is a somewhat subdued interest because I'm not sure how to get this train rolling again. What has it been - over a year since I actually drew or colored anything? I'm afraid I won't know how anymore. D:
